Hartford, MI – (May 28, 2015) — Dustin Daggett is on the verge of making history again on Friday with the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP.  After securing the most feature wins and championships in series history Daggett will aim for his 100th feature victory in SOD competition on Friday at Hartford Speedway.

Daggett scored his 99th career SOD victory on Sunday night at Eldora Speedway in dominating fashion during a co-sanctioned event with the National Racing Alliance.   17 of Daggett’s victories with the Sprints on Dirt have come at Hartford with the most recent on August 29th of last year.   In addition to his 17 wins with SOD Daggett also has a win with the Interstate Racing Association in 2010 and with the All Star Circuit of Champions in 2004.

Daggett Already the winningest driver in the 35 years of SOD Daggett will be the first driver to reach the 100 win mark.   While Friday gives Daggett the opportunity to make history he will have to face a formidable group of drivers that have provided some stout competition early on in the 2015 season.  Ryan Ruhl has won two of the last three Hartford features and will look to prolong Daggett’s quest to 100 victories along with former Hartford track champion Brett Mann and former SOD champion Gregg Dalman.  Along with the veterans young up and coming drivers Kyle Pitts, Brad Lamberson, and Chase Ridenour have shown speed early in the season and will be looking for their first career SOD victories.

Racing is slated to start at 8:00 p.m. with a special “fan zone” in the pit area for race fans from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m.

Rossburg, Oh – (May 24, 2015) – Dustin Daggett wowed the fans with a totally dominating performance on the high banks of Eldora Speedway Sunday night during the SOD/NRA portion of the “Johnny Appleseed Classic”. Daggett started 4th and immediately shot out front using the high side of the half mile oval.

While there was other racing taking place, Daggett was mainly using the high side of track putting distance between himself and Kyle Sauder early on. As he encountered lapped traffic, he managed to pick his way around cars.

Randy Hannagan passed Sauder for 2nd before the half way point of the twenty lap event and was being chased by Sauder, Dustin Stroup and Ron Blair. As the feature was nearing conclusion, Daggett continued to weave through traffic but still had to be patient at times.

Late in the race Daggett had lapped up to 8th place and amassed a nine second advantage over Hannagan. As the white flag appeared Daggett made his way through more heavy traffic and crossed the line ahead of Hannagan, Sauder, Stroup and Ron Blair.

In victory lane Daggett cited having a bit of a rough weekend but thanked everyone on his crew, He also said “when you know Randy (Hannagan) is back there, you can’t let up.

Waynesfield, Oh – (May 23, 2015) – Randy Hannagan made a late race pass and held on to take the 25 lap “Memorial Classic” at Waynesfield Raceway Park contested by the K&L Ready Mix NRA Sprint Invaders and the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP on Saturday night.

Dustin Daggett started on the pole with Hannagan beside and at the drop of the green Daggett got the jump and took command with Hannagan falling back some but keeping Daggett in his sights.

Daggett maintained his advantage for several laps and then encountered lapped traffic with Hannagan closing some but Daggett held fast. Now the 33m of Caleb Griffith was making up ground and by lap 15 racing had intensified with Daggett leading Hannagan, Griffith and Max Stambaugh.

As lap 18 approached, Hannagan had caught Daggett and duo were side by side. Hannangan made the pass stick the next time around with Daggett still on Hannagan’s bumper. Now Griffith had really joined the fray and was a close third as laps were winding down quickly.

As the white flag flew Daggett made a last ditch effort and pulled even with Hannagan but lost some momentum with Griffith and Stambaugh slipping past. At the stripe it was Hannagan, Griffith, Stambaugh, Daggett and Kyle Sauder.

Heats for the 28 cars on hand were won by Hannagan, Daggett and Rod Henning. The B main went to Gregg Dalman.
The three day weekend for the stars of SOD and NRA concludes at Eldora Speedway tomorrow night.
