Rossburg, OH — (May 25, 2014) — Jim nier won the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP / K&L Ready Mix National Racing Alliance feature Sunday night at Eldora Speedway.

“I’ve been racing here a long time, been close a couple of times, but this place has whipped me on a regular basis,” said nier.  “(Eldora) is the most prestigious track in Ohio and the world, and it means everything to win here”.

Jared Horstman and Ryah Ruhl started on the front row for the 20-lap feature.  Horstman took the lead as Ruhl dropped back through the field.  nier quickly asserted himself to second and started to run down Horstman.

nier managed to close in, but could not get pass Horstman until going into turn one Horstman’s car dramatically slowed with  mechanical problems.   nier motored into the lead and onto victory over Butch Schroeder, Randy Hannagan, Ryan Ruhl, and Todd Heuerman.

Hannagan Doubles his Fun, Snags Waynesfield SOD/NRA Main

By Bob Buffenbarger

Waynesfield,Oh.- (May 24, 2014 )- The second race of the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP and K&L Ready Mix National Racing Alliance Memorial Day triple header went to Randy Hannagan after he passed Tim Allison who had led most of the 25 lap feature at Waynesfield Raceway Park.
Tim Hunter led the field to the green flag from his pole position and led early but Allison who started outside front row, was very strong tonight and wrestled the lead away from Hunter and set sail with 4th starting Hannagan tagging along for the ride.
Once again the 6s of J.R. Stewart showed some muscle as he was running with the leaders mixing it up with Hunter and Allison. After several laps of dogging Allison in traffic, Hannagan made the pass for the lead on lap 15 just as the cars passed the flagstand.
Hunter was still lurking and running strong which kept Allison on the gas as the laps ticked off. Once again it was “The Hurricane” as he held on for the victory after negotiating heavy traffic in the non stop 25 lap affair. Chasing Hannagan was Allison, Stewart, Hunter and Dustin Daggett.

Again tonight, Hannagan thanked his owner Dennis Yoakam, his crew and sponsors for putting together a great car. Hannagan also thanked all the fans that came out to support this race and the Military Veterans that make it possible to have races like these.

Tonight’s heat races went to Devon Dobie, Greg Dalman, Ron Blair and Dustin Daggett. B mains were won by Jack Miller and Jimmy Snead.

Tomorrow evening the three day SOD/NRA wraps up the weekend at the famed high banks of Eldora Speedway.

Hurricane Levels Field to Win Memorial Cup at Limaland

By Bob Buffenbarger

Lima,Oh.- (May 23, 2014 )- Randy Hannagan dominated the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP and K&L Ready Mix National Racing Alliance 25 lap feature at Limaland Motorsport Park after starting on the pole Friday night. Hannagan also picked up his heat race win after starting from the tail.
Kevin Roberts started along side of Hannagan in the feature but Roberts spun in turn two after one lap and was collected by Jared Horstman. Both were done for the night. Two laps later, Devon Dobie and Ron Blair tangled in turn two with traffic managing to avoid this mishap. These two car were also finished for the remainder of the race.
With 10 circuits in the books Hannagan lead J.R. Stewart, Shawn Dancer, Todd Heuerman, Hud Horton and a charging Ryan Ruhl. At the half way point, youngster Chad Ridenour took a nasty flip down the front stretch but emerged uninjured.
When the green re-appeared, action was furious for positions 4th through 8th as several cars that started deep in the pack were making charges through the field. Butch Schroeder had advanced to 4th with Tim Allison who started 19th, Ryan Ruhl from 12th and Dustin Daggett from 13th all battling with Horton.
As these cars were fighting for position, Hannagan, Stewart and Dancer were all on a rail with Hannagan showing the way at the checkers. Hannagan once again thanked his car owner and crew for a great handling car in victory lane.
A big crowd was on hand on a great evening for racing and saw Hannagan, Kevin Roberts, J.R. Stewart and Rod Henning win heats while Dustin Stroup and Tim Allison won B mains.
The SOD/NRA Memorial Day Weekend triple header continues Saturday night a few miles down the road at Waynesfield Raceway Park for round two.
