Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP Announces Schedule Changes

Gun Lake, MI — It is with regret that the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP must announce that they have postponed the Friday August 26 event scheduled for Tri-City Motor Speedway in Auburn. The Michigan based winged sprint car series was looking forward to appearing at the redesigned historic Tri-City Speedway and making its debut at the new 3/8 mile clay oval. Due to a schedule conflict, the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP will now attempt to schedule events at the speedway for 2012. The management of both Tri-City Motor Speedway and SOD would like to apologize for the confusion. For more information please look at www.sprintsondirt.com and www.tricityracetrack.com. An addition to the 2011 season schedule will be the August 12 date being hosted by the Cherry Speedway in Fife Lake, Michigan. This was originally listed as a TBA on the released 2011 schedule. The Sprints on Dirt look forward to appearing at the racy northern speedway on two occasions in 2011 with the other date being June 17.

The opening event of the 2011 championship chase will be Saturday April 30 at the Crystal Motor Speedway in Crystal, Michigan.

2011 Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP Schedule is Released

Gun Lake, MI — The 32nd season of exciting sprint car racing will begin at Crystal Motor Speedway on April 30 for the Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP series. An incredible variety of events are on the calendar at speedways in Michigan, Ohio and Ontario. A total of 23 races are currently on the schedule with one event to be announced and the very special three day Canadian Sprint Car Nationals among the much anticipated 2011 calendar.

Highlights for the 2011 season include the King of Michigan race September 9 at Hartford Motor Speedway, return visits to Ohio tracks; Limaland Motorsports Park and Eldora Speedway and the new Ontario Summer Sprint Series at Ohsweken Speedway and South Buxton Raceway. A total of thirteen different race tracks currently appear on the schedule.

Long time supporting tracks of the Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP returning for 2011 include I-96 Speedway, Cherry Raceway, Owendale Speedway and the Winston Speedway. Crystal Motor Speedway in Crystal MI hosts three events in 2011 and holds the honors of being the only track in the country to host an event every year in the 32 year history of the winged sprint series. I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan will host four events, the first being held May 14 on the ½ mile while the other three dates will be on the 3/8 mile oval. Two visits to Owendale and Winston will be popular stops and a second visit to Cherry Raceway is still under negotiation.

The popular appearance at the Ionia Free Fair Speedway will again occur on Friday July 22 and a new speedway hosting its first show is the Tri City Motor Speedway in Auburn, Michigan on August 26. The Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP will again support the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals at Oshweken Speedway September 15-17. The schedule also allows teams the opportunity to participate in this year’s Knoxville 360 Nationals if they choose with no races being scheduled to conflict with this event in August.

The Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP series sanctions winged Sprint Car races at speedways throughout Michigan, Ohio and the Canadian province of Ontario and will enjoy its 32nd season of operation. The 2011 schedule can be viewed at www.sprintsondirt.com.

In its 20th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing, the American Sprint Car Series brings the best of Sprint Car racing to approximately 100 different tracks throughout 30 states and Canada. Anchored by the Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters, ASCS also consists of ten different Regions throughout the nation.

SOD Schedule Update

The Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP 2011 schedule is almost ready for release. There are a couple of dates yet to be determined and the completed schedule will be posted very soon. The excitement in 2011 for the series will begin as is traditional at Ron Flinn’s Crystal Motor Speedway on Saturday April 30. Crystal is the only track in the country to host an Engine Pro ASCS SOD event every single year of the series existence. The exciting 3/8 mile oval will host the series on two other occasions, July 16 and September 3. The series is planning on a schedule of 22-24 races from April 30 until the end of September. Engine Pro Returns to ASCS Sprints on Dirt

(February 2, 2011) – The Engine Pro ASCS Sprints On Dirt presented by ARP series is excited to announce that again in 2011 Engine Pro has signed on as the series title sponsor with ARP again on board as presenting sponsor. ASCS SOD is proud to have these great supporters for its 32nd season.
